Hevesy Laboratory of DTU Health Tech Lyngby , Denmark

Published Thu, 05/14/2020 - 8:20 PM Expiration Fri, 05/22/2020 - 12:00 AM or until the posting is filled

The Hevesy Laboratory is the radiopharmaceutical unit of DTU, combining cutting-edge radiochemical research with clinical production of radiopharmaceuticals. As our new cyclotron scientist, you will bridge the gap between the two, supporting each with cyclotron-produced radionuclides, both conventional and exotic. Within the research section, you will join our efforts to investigate and develop new groundbreaking applications for radionuclides, especially radiometals in a medical setting. You will work together with physicists, synthetic and pharmaceutical chemists, as well as biologists, to investigate the entire path from radionuclide to final radiopharmaceutical. Through our broad national and international network, therapeutic systems are tested in animal models with the ultimate goal of translation to humans. Within this framework, your function will primarily be to conduct production and development of radionuclides on our in-house cyclotron, and to provide advice and expertise to the other scientists on the use of radionuclides. You are be expected to take a major role in developing their production and purification. In addition, as radiometals become relevant in radiopharmaceuticals for clinical use, you will support the supply of these.
