The Department of Physics at Yale University invites applications for a
faculty position in theoretical physics. The successful candidate must
have a Ph.D., or equivalent degree, at time of hire and is expected to
lead an internationally recognized research program at the forefront of
any area of theoretical physics, and to teach effectively at the
undergraduate and graduate levels. Yale provides an engaging and vibrant
research environment with many opportunities to interact and collaborate
with outstanding theoretical and experimental colleagues across all
subfields of physics and beyond.

An appointment beginning July 1, 2019 at the Assistant Professor level
is expected, but exceptional senior candidates may be considered,
