Postdoctoral Position in Experimental Nuclear Astrophysics

The Low Energy Nuclear Physics Group at the Physics Division is now inviting interested applicants to apply for a Postdoctoral Appointee position to conduct research in the field of Experimental Nuclear Astrophysics at the Argonne Tandem Linac Accelerator System (ATLAS).

 

The successful candidate must have:

• Recently received his/her Ph.D. in physics or a discipline related to low energy nuclear physics within the last 3 years

• Experience at conceiving and executing experimental research projects and reporting the results

• Strong background in the area of nuclear astrophysics

• Experience with computer programming and data analysis.

 

The position is for 2 years, with the possibility of extension for up to 3 years depending on funding and performance.
